- Counselling & Therapy
Therapy designed for motherhood.
Talk to a psychologist specialised in maternal mental health. Online sessions, with psychiatric consultation when it's needed.
The months after birth are full of change. Alongside the joy, many mothers feel exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious or unlike themselves. Some carry a difficult birth experience, struggle with the shift in identity, feel strain in their relationships, or find that low moods don't lift the way they expected.
Talking to a trained professional can help. Counselling and therapy gives you a safe, judgement-free space to make sense of your emotions, process what you've been through, and rebuild your confidence as a mother. Our perinatal psychologists support mothers with a range of concerns, from anxiety, birth trauma and relationship changes to postpartum depression therapy. Reaching out is a sign of strength. It is a way of caring for yourself so you can care for your family.

FAQ
Is this the baby blues or postpartum depression?
Baby blues are common in the first two weeks: tearfulness, mood swings and feeling overwhelmed that settle on their own. Postpartum depression lasts longer, feels heavier, and gets in the way of daily life. If you're past two weeks and not feeling better, or you feel worse, it's worth talking to us. The free assessment is a good place to start.
Does online postpartum depression therapy work?
Yes. Online therapy for perinatal depression has been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy, and it removes the hardest part for a new mother: getting out of the house. You can join from your bed, with your baby next to you.
What kind of therapist will I see?
A clinical or counselling psychologist trained in perinatal mental health. Our therapists use CBT, mindfulness and trauma-informed, person-centred approaches, and they work with the specifics of motherhood rather than general wellbeing.
Can you prescribe medication?
Our psychologists don't prescribe, but your plan includes a psychiatric consultation when medication needs to be considered, including options that are compatible with breastfeeding.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy stays between you and your therapist. Your care coordinator only knows what you choose to share with them.
We are not a crisis service. If you are in immediate distress, contact a doctor or emergency mental health services right away.
