A mother breastfeeding her newborn

Breastfeeding is often described as natural, but it doesn't always come easily. Many mothers struggle with cracked nipples, a baby who won't latch, worries about milk supply and blocked ducts. Some are worried about their baby's weight gain, unsure how to combine breastfeeding with formula, or trying to work out a pumping routine before returning to work. These struggles can leave a mother exhausted, guilty and alone.

With the right help, most of these challenges can be eased. Our lactation specialist works with you online, so you get support from home without crossing the city with a newborn. She watches a feed with you over video, gives you practical changes to try straight away, and follows up to see how it's going. If you're looking for the best lactation consultant in Bangalore, look for someone who makes space for you as well as your baby. That's what we do.

FAQ

What does a lactation consultant help with?

Latch and positioning, nipple pain, low or oversupply, blocked ducts and mastitis, pumping and bottle refusal, feeding a premature or unwell baby, returning to work, and weaning. If it's about feeding your baby, it's in scope.

Can breastfeeding support really work online?

Yes. Your consultant watches a feed on video, checks the latch and your baby's cues, and adjusts your position in real time. For most concerns, online is as effective as a home visit, and far faster to arrange.

How do I know if my supply is low?

Wet nappies, weight gain and how your baby behaves after feeds tell us more than how your breasts feel or how much you pump. Your consultant will check the signs with you before changing anything.

Can you help me pump for going back to work?

Yes. We plan your pumping schedule, storage and how feeds will work with your caregiver.

When should I book?

Early. The first two weeks set up supply, and small problems are easiest to fix before they become painful or discouraging. If you're already past that, it's still not too late.
