- Perinatal Counselling & Therapy
Counselling during pregnancy, for the fears nobody warns you about.
Support for anxiety, fears and big emotions in pregnancy, from therapists trained in maternal mental health. Online, 1:1, at your pace.
Pregnancy is supposed to be joyful, which makes it hard to say that you're anxious, scared of the birth, grieving a previous loss, or not feeling the bond everyone talks about. Perinatal counselling gives you a place to say all of it, with someone who won't be surprised.
Our therapists specialise in perinatal mental health. Counselling during pregnancy can help with anxiety and intrusive thoughts, fear of childbirth, a previous miscarriage or difficult birth, changes in your relationship, and preparing emotionally for the fourth trimester. Anxiety or low mood in pregnancy is also the strongest predictor of postpartum depression, so starting now protects you later.
Sessions are 1:1 and online, so you can fit them around scans, work and rest. Partners can join when that's helpful.

FAQ
Is anxiety during pregnancy normal?
Some worry is normal. Anxiety that keeps you up, loops through worst cases or stops you enjoying anything is common too, but it's worth treating, both for how you feel now and because it raises the risk of postpartum depression.
What can counselling during pregnancy help with?
Anxiety and intrusive thoughts, fear of childbirth, grief after a loss, a previous traumatic birth, low mood, relationship changes, and the identity shift of becoming a mother. If it's on your mind, it's a reason to talk.
Can my partner join?
Yes. Some mothers bring their partner to a few sessions to work through expectations, roles and the relationship. Our therapists also work with couples.
Will the same therapist see me after the birth?
Yes, if you'd like. Continuing with someone who already knows your story is one of the biggest advantages of starting in pregnancy.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between you and your therapist.
We are not a crisis service. If you are in immediate distress, contact a doctor or emergency mental health services right away.
