Garbh Sanskar, ancient wisdom that modern science recognises.
Mindfulness, breathwork and affirmations for you and your baby, in online group classes built for the calm, connected pregnancy you're hoping for.
Garbh Sanskar is the Indian tradition of nurturing your baby before birth, through what you think, hear, eat and feel. Modern research agrees with its core idea: a mother's stress levels, rest and sense of connection during pregnancy matter to her baby's development, and to her own mental health after birth.
Our Garbh Sanskar classes take the practices that science supports, mindfulness, breathwork, music, affirmations and gentle movement, and leave out the pressure and superstition. You'll learn simple daily rituals that lower stress and help you bond with your baby.
Classes are online and in small groups, so you share the experience with other expecting mothers without leaving home.

FAQ
What is Garbh Sanskar?
Garbh Sanskar means 'education in the womb'. It's an Indian tradition of shaping a baby's wellbeing before birth through the mother's thoughts, habits and environment. We teach the parts of it that modern research supports: stress reduction, bonding and a calmer mother.
Is there scientific evidence for it?
There's good evidence that a mother's stress, sleep and emotional state in pregnancy affect her baby, and that mindfulness, breathwork and music lower stress and improve bonding. That's what our classes focus on.
Is it religious?
No. Our classes are secular and welcome mothers of any background. Where a practice has roots in tradition, we explain it, and you choose what to keep.
When should I start?
Any time is good, and many mothers start in the second trimester. The practices are easy to keep up right through to birth, and some, like breathwork, carry straight into labour.
What happens in a class?
A short check-in, guided breathwork and mindfulness, a bonding or affirmation practice, and gentle movement. You leave with something to do each day until the next class.
